What are some of the regular events on the calendar?
This is an informal evening of praise, thanksgiving and prayer for the needs of the Church, community and the world. Members, guests, friends, friends-of-friends, neighbours, even strangers! No matter who you are, we welcome you. You don’t need to bring anything and, while we’d love for you to come for the whole hour, you can come or go as your schedule requires.
Linger Lunch is a time of fellowship that happens after the service every few months or so. Volunteers provide soups and bread and it is a casual lunch in the basement of the church after the Sunday morning service. This event is put on by the fellowship committee.
Periodically the men meet up at Daytona’s Restaurant for a devotional time and breakfast. You don’t need to prepare or bring anything; just show up! It will be posted on the calendar and will show up in the side of this page under events when another Men’s Breakfast is happening. (breakfast is your own personal expense)
There are two congregational meetings each year. The Fall End of Year Meeting is held the last wednesday of November and is a time where we discuss the budget and look forward to the next year. In the Spring we hold the Year in Review Meeting where we discuss the previous year: events that were held, big changes that took place, and listen to short reports from each committee. All are welcome to these meetings. They are a source of encouragement as we reflect on what is happening at Bethlehem.
